SMTP Socket Email System Development

I am looking for a PHP developer who can work on a small project, which script catch any email address for verification. Verification consists of knowing if the email is valid or not. I give to the developer two files. The first one is a simple [login to view URL], consisting on an email msgbox, a submit button and a container where the verification output is placed. The second file is verify-class.php. The class verify the email address format, and find the MX server records, Foreach MX-record, open a SMTP socket (can be use any port like port 25, etc.) and act as client-server. Once the server received the client-request, respond with a Key-code 220, client send EHLO!, and so on, ask for Authorization and user send username and password, the server answer with other Keyword, after that uses Extended SMTP . The main purpose of this system is to send an email notification, if the message is sent, the the email address is valid; otherwise the email is invalid. The specifics for this project are yet to be determined. The vital condition for this project is that the notifications should be sent from [login to view URL] connecting to [login to view URL] to handle the stream - this is the trigger that will initiate the sending of notifications. So far the class has a debug output where the developer can find or implement issues. As is the script can verify format, verify Mail Host, establish connection to server, but can not be authorized, and I am stock there. Skills and Experience Required: - Solid PHP development experience - Knowledge and experience in SMTP socket programming - Experience with handling email service providers (Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook) - Understand how to work with [login to view URL] and [login to view URL] to handle streams. In all, I need someone with attention to detail and the ability to work within defined parameters, who will deliver an effective SMTP socket email system for notification purposes.
