your task will be to provide me a solution to create backups of linux machines with borgbackup. requirements - daily dedup backups - some machines 2x daily backup - ensuring data consistency of open files (e.g. databases) - implementing a solution for many hosts to backup and how to manage on storagebox (in final environment about 50 machines to backup) - weekly backups, restart a full backup each week, tidy up older backups as 4 weeks - monthly backups, restart a full back each month (with weekly), tidy older backups as 2 months - a structure to keep backup history to protect time based attacks and to keep history as small as possible - high efficiency on storage used - high efficiency on traffic used good documentation: [login to view URL] [login to view URL] your tasks: MS1: implement the script to run on a ubuntu with a installed mariaDB and provide a script to backup by best practices Already done: is the phase INIT and the phase CREATE by the given documentation to storagebox. So the script is already working in terms of running and executing backups. It is only missing the handling of the bi-daily, weekly and monthly behavior.
