Coffee for logo

A specialty coffee roaster in Canada looking for a product logo to be used on labels and on the web. We will distribute our coffees to retailers and restaurants, but will also sell to consumers directly on the website. The trade mark “Café Vertica”, should relate to heights (mountains) where coffee grows best, to the effect of coffee as a stimulant, and to the high standards in the selection, roasting, and packaging the coffee. Stretching it a little further, it could relate to getting up in the morning and taking a vertical position after staying horizontal all night. The above are mere aids. We aim to create a brand that conveys the superior qualities of specialty coffee. Science helps in ensuring the production of high quality coffee, but a specialty coffee roaster however treats his coffee as work of art. Seeing the logo should evoke a sense of wonder! We suggest to incorporate the word “Vertica” in the logo, but it is up to you – you may just use graphical elements and win it. We would like to have bids along with watermarked “concept” logos of Café Vertica. In order to pick a winner we find it difficult to decide by looking at portfolios. So take your time! But we reserve the right to pick the winner from submitted bids anytime within the next 72 hours. The winner would apply refinements, if needed, within 48 hours of being selected. So, create a wonderful logo, and we will send you 10 lb. of our coffee with (y)our logo on it in addition to the budget of $100. Don’t worry, the coffee is vacuum packed, so you are likely to finish the 10 lb. well before its “Best before” date. A brief “logo usage guide” must be produced for the logo after its selection, suggesting at least colors and type faces that should be used with it.
