Maintenance POC

I want to develop and android app that at the moment the app is a proof-of-concept for the company I work for. An android version is all that's needed at present. The main purpose of the app is to track in real time our facilities and maintenance staff who are on the road. Put simply the app needs to track the location of phones. I also want this information recorded in a database in the cloud. There are a number of requirements: The app has a registration process which asks for the following information: Division: Facilities (F) or Maintenance (M) Region: 0-9, 10-19, 20-29,... in groups all the way up to 99 The user clicks OK to register and the back-end sends back a random ID number. This ID number is unique to the phone or device. The ID number with the division and region are also stored in the database in the cloud. Once signed up the app works in the background sending the unique ID number, the location and a timestamp to the database in the cloud at regular intervals. When a registered user opens the application they are shown a map centred on his/her current location. The map will show: The location of other staff within the area of the map shown, by means of a location type pin. Whether the member of staff is facilities or maintenance. I was thinking different coloured pins for this. If there is more than one member of staff in a location the pin should indicate how many staff are there and how many are facilities or maintenance. The proportion of staff belonging to each division could be indicated by proportionally colouring the pin to represent each division. The main purpose of the app from the company's point of view is to ensure that we do not have too many staff from each division in an area at any particular time. The random ID number is to ensure that staff are not identifiable. The company doesn't need to know the exact user at this stage.
