Project: Barcode Scanner Application Platform: C# / VB Description of Project: We have a .net barcode scanner application, which is used by our customers. This works with USB scanner, Serial RS232 scanner. We have existing software that does the below things, we need some upgrade to this product. The application is able to read a barcode from a scanner that is connected to the system via a USB or Serial port scanner (RS232). The barcode read is forwarded to a URL via an HTTP POST/GET request. The response from the HTTP request , is shown using a unobtrusive alert at the bottom right( like a little popup , example a mail alert in Outlook). We have 3 issues to solve in this When scanned we should give a beep sound. USB barcode scanner should should only print data out based on the response send. Serial scanner should add a enter key at the end based on the response.

The Serial scanner should have a setting to pass a tab or enter at the end of the barcode, Check its manuall. And for the rest you can contact me, we are .NET experts with 6 developers in my team. We have also created many retail applications with barcode usage so we are aware of the working of barcode.
