We are looking for someone who can create an Internet of things device and mobile app. Your job will be to create a device that allows users (via a webpage and/or app) to connect and control devices directly with a Smartphone (lights in a house, heater, TV, fans, window-shades, etc).  The app/website should allow for simple setup. In other words, it must have the ability to connect multiple devices once and allow multiple users. Your job will be to create a device (using open source hardware) and design the associated software (webpage and app) to enable this task.<br />Steps to be followed:<br />1 – Create simple webpage and microcontroller that allows multiple users to turn on/off lights in their house.<br />2 – I will test your design to see how well you design and code.<br />3 – If the above two steps go well I will assign you a really BIG, complex and VERY rewarding LONG TERM job (something really innovative).

Dear Sir, I have seen the proposal and I am interested in collaborating in your Internet of Things development. We are a small group of 4 developers with different profiles and I think it is suitable for you project. Comment that I have extensive experience in similar developments and my last job ended last month, has been the creation of some IoT (Internet of Things) devices. Touch screen, Radiofrequency and sensors using the Zigbee network to communicate it. Now I am finishing a gateway for the Modbus and KNX protocols. If no objection I would like to ask you if the development you are requesting is a proof of concept and if it will be a paid job or a people selection and you will pay only the selected POC. Hello, today I finished my end of career project which is completely related to what you propose. Steps 1 and 2 look really feasible to do with free software and hardware. But to test the system I design, you'll have to buy and assemble the hardware designed or I will have to send. But in step 3 I see some limitations. What you can do with appliances, such as a TV or a fan is turn them off and turn them on. But if for example you want to put the power of a fan in three or television on channel two, these appliances need to have an integrated protocol, for example universal plug and play. Here is my project result with: Arduino + Python*(Raspberry Pi + Amazon Ec2) + Android. The youtube id of demo is LV48-bMR8TY. The URL is not alowed here. Goodbye!
