Hi, This sounds like an interesting and useful app! The app needs to: * Locate and open a CSV file * Perform some basic validation, and show the available fields * Choose which fields to use * Convert to SRT format * Save the SRT file The CSV format is well-understood, and quite straightforward to read and process. The SRT format is not so common, but is fairly simple. It contains line numbers, timecodes (in a set format), one or more lines of text, and blank lines (used as separators). There may also be some basic text formatting. The *exact* details of the SRT format to be used, would need to be discussed and agreed. Generating srt files from your source csv files should be a fairly straightforward task. I have been developing Mac applications for over 8 years, and I have created applications that use csv files as inputs.
