To send and recieve sms/mms alert messages for advertisement purposes in seconds, to subscribers in affected areas of the UK.
The project is to design an sms/mms system that will be put together with a website so that its users can subscribe to the system via text or website. All the details must be saved in a database (pref MySQL).
Users who subscribe with sms must send a phrase such as SUBSCRIBE to a certain number and they will then have opted into the subscription list.
Users who subscribe over the web site must enter their email, region, age, gender, & their mobile number to subscribe (validation required). This is so that we can target the sms/mms to people by them entities provided.
Users can opt out from the subscription list by texting a phrase such as STOP to the system.
The sms/mms system must be able to send large quantities of sms/mms at once and the status the messages must be displayed showing how many messages have been sent, which messages were not sent, at what time, and will show a copy of the message that as been sent whether text or show the mms object.
A copy of the sent message must be saved in the database for future references. The list of sent sms/mms messages will be shown like a list of sent emails which can be opened and viewed by web page interface.
A suitable content management system for the sms/mms system will be required so that everything can be managed by interface.
