We are crowdfunding journalism projects, and need someone who can do lots of research - finding out popular Facebook groups, Twitter accounts, journalist names, newspaper/website/blog URLs, in order that we can approach them with requests for publicity. For example: We have one journalist trying to crowdfund a campaign to write about Japanese anime. So, we would want to know: who are the big Twitter users who Tweet about anime? What are the important Facebook groups on anime? Which websites, blogs, magazines, and newspapers would be interested in anime? Which particular individual journalists have a soft spot for it? Which celebrities would Tweet about the campaign? And so on. We want big lists of names, email addresses, Twitter IDs, and Facebook accounts, so we can contact them with requests for promotion. We don't need someone with perfect English or any particular qualifications. But we do need someone who will work very hard, and has a good sense of social media, news media, and has a general awareness of lots of different topics. Please contact us. We can try you out on a weekly basis, and if things go well, make the arrangement more permanent.

Hello, In mid 2014, I worked on a project that had the purpose of finding donors for crowdfunding journalism. My task then was to help in strategy development and find out the ways a prospective donor should be approached. Donors in that case were mostly single time visitors and 80% of them did not come back to support another journalism project. However, I understand that my role here will be different. Here I believe that I have to be a supplier of information. That means, I have to help find people who are very active in a topic you are writing and thereby there is a very high chance that they would fund the journo-project. PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG IN MY UNDERSTANDING OF YOUR PROJECT. As mentioned in your requirement, we can start weekly at a lesser project fee and then if you are happy with my contribution, you can hire me long term for a better fee.
