I am looking for someone who can make a "word matcher" (such as this php version: [login to view URL] ) into a windows 8 compatible application. It does not matter to me exactly which language you use, but it must return results fast and have an extensive word library including many proper nouns such as states and countries. I will also require a few improvements to be made. -The ability to add a word to the library -The ability to view the entire word library -Ability to 'X' out any specific letter from the results -most popular words displayed first, rather than alphabetical order SEE IMAGE for clearer explanation Please let me know what language you plan on programming this in.

Hi, I have read your requirements and have some comments/questions below 1. Do you need the ability to do the word jumber solver as well? 2. In order to save the popularity of words, best methods is to save them in a database to increase the speed of programs. (If you save the words list in a text file, any change need to rewrite the text file which is around 2.5~3 MB). If you don't want to use a database, I suggest we use a text file which is a Frequency Word Lists, and do not change it; thats mean you cannot add, remove word and cannot change the popularity. 3. If you want to do it with database, I suggest we use Microsoft Access, and using VB.NET / C# to connect to it through OleDB. Regards,

Hi, I would implement the word matcher as a C#.NET application. Implementing a dictionary which has already predefined weights according to their frequency in the English language is no problem. The weights would then get updated after selection like you described. I have created a lot of applications similar to this. programmer for 10 years now. best language to set this up with would be VB6 since this will not require any special activex control or library. windows 8 OS either 64/32 bit are all backward compatible with VB. then the database of words will be in a .dat file (not ms access/ not mysql)... dat file is a simple text file compatible to all OS as well, this way the application would not have to rely on any database program installed in the computer. will also have a function that will allow you to add and delete words from database. This approach will allow you to retrieve the words quickly. Let me know if you're interested. Thanks. God bless note: words library not included.. just few words for testing purposes only.
