We need to read the data going thru a COM port and modify it. basically we have this escenario: We have a device reading barcodes in a kiosk and after the reading the device validate the user barcode and access the user account. the thing is we need to change that barcode reading with an external software we have, basically our software will receive a code and give an answer if can access or not. we know how to make this but we never make, so we need somebody to do the work. we need to user C#.NET or VB.NET

hi. I'm systems engineer having 4+ years of experience in software-hardware integration. I have worked a lot with serial port devices. here's how I think we can do it: we'll install a pair of virtual serial ports. we will give one of those to the device (scanner). on the other side will be the application I build for you. so whatever scanner sends, is received by this application. we do whatever we want to do with this data and return the device whatever we want to return. let's discuss further for more clarification in the scenario. waiting for your response...
