You are working for a company as the network engineer and network designer. An SME is contacting you and is asking you to design a network for their organisation. You are expected to analyse their environment and design a network based on their needs and document your design.
The organisation has 2 buildings, each with 4 floors. Each floor has between 35 rooms with minimum 4 employees working in each room. Building number 1 is focused on office works, working mainly with Microsoft word and excel applications. Building number 2 is focused on graphic design tasks, working with large files. The tasks are performed in groups of designers and as a result, they need to share their files very often with each other. The files size can vary, normally between 50 to 250 MB.
The organisation is looking for solutions, which employees are experiencing minimum disruption and inconvenience when working with their computers. As a result, they want their network to have a minimum standard, but they are open to suggestions, which can increase the performance of the network with a bit extra expense.
I have experience in network monitoring and incident response while doing my internship. It helped me to boost my network troubleshooting skills. I find it rewarding to be able to solve network incidents, with the help of different teams with different roles from around the globe. I also have Cisco CCNA Certification.
