A website that will include the following pages, sections and features: Video Game Reviews: The page will consolidate reviews from the top 10 video game websites (similar to [login to view URL] but more pleasing to the eye and only featuring the most popular video game websites such as IGN, Kotaku, Game Spot, etc) and present them in an easily digestible format, allowing users to see an aggregated score for each game and find a link to see each review. There will be a graphic link (picture from the review itself) to each review with an excerpt from the review as a preview. Video Game News: This page have all of the latest video game news articles pulled from the same top 10 video game websites as the reviews. The articles will be displayed in a list format with a graphic link and an excerpt from the article (picture from the article itself) as a preview. Similar to the apple news application on IOS (video game section). Hot Takes Section: This area will be dedicated to freelance writers and bloggers to share their unique insights and opinions about the gaming industry. They will submit these to me for approval and I will post them after reviewing. It will also serve as a platform for thought-provoking and unique content that also allows registered users of the site to be able to comment in a thread-style discussion similar to [login to view URL] under each hot take. Online Store: The website will feature an online store with affiliate links to various merchandise, gaming software, and hardware. This store will provide users with easy access to products related to the gaming world and bargains/deals across the web as well. It will also have a way for users of the site to purchase apparel (tshirts, sweatshirts, hats, etc.) with the video game central logo through a 3rd party site that handles the design and shipping I just want a cut of this maybe with a small upcharge somehow. Monetization: To ensure the sustainability of the platform, we intend to generate revenue through advertising, paid subscription access to our premium content, and affiliate programs/links. The ads will be strategically placed to maximize profitability without compromising the user experience. A donations button or link as well for those who want to donate money to the site. Retro Arcade (Optional): As a fun and engaging addition, the site will host a section where users can play classic old-school games for free. This feature will enhance user engagement and provide a nostalgic experience for gamers. This would use some sort of emulator similar to [login to view URL] This is on my wishlist but not a must if it will cost too much or be too much work for the initial site. The website's design should be visually appealing, user-friendly, and optimized for both desktop and mobile devices. It should prioritize user experience, ensuring that visitors can easily navigate between the review aggregator, hot takes, online store, and retro arcade sections. I want to be able to customize the site themes easily without editing code (changing the theme to Halloween during October as an example). I also want the whole site to be searchable and the search to display which area of the site the search result is from.
